ACE Refrigeration is currently working on site at three Scottish prisons including HMP Dumfries, HMP Perth and HMP Edinburgh.
Engineers are just about to finish a project to replace R22 at HMP Dumfries. Following European legislation, the ban on recycled and/or reclaimed R22 Refrigeration gas came into effect on 31st December 2014.
We are also on site in the capital at HMP Edinburgh where we’re installing new air conditioning in the training room. And again at HMP Perth where we are installing new air conditioning in the PABX Room.
Last year, ACE Refrigeration was awarded a three year service and maintenance contract with the Scottish Prison Service.
The family firm, established in Glasgow in 1951, provides both preventative and reactive service and maintenance for both air conditioning and refrigeration.
The new contract covers 13 prisons and three other sites throughout the country and will run for three years with an option to extend the contract for a further two years.
