Having decided to change to a morning market, the Eyemouth Harbour Trust needed a new Cold Room at the present Fishmarket to permit the landing of fish for a 24 hour
period or more prior to the Market.

The erection was duly completed precisely to programme and the company even made special arrangements to accommodate the needs of the famous Eyemouth Seafood festival, the floor of the unit serving as an audience area for one of the outdoor music venues, half way through the construction period.
